The Programme

1. These terms and conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, are applicable across the entire The Works Together Rewards Programme ("the Programme") and any participation in the Programme constitutes acceptance of them. The Together Rewards account, card, key fobs, vouchers and points, in whatever form, are issued by and remain the property of The Works Stores Limited ("The Works”) which may, at any time, terminate the Programme or alter or amend the conditions of operation of the Programme.

2. All members of the Programme must be resident in the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) or Republic of Ireland and aged 16 years or over.

Card Application

3. Simply collect a card in-store from a member of staff at till point who will activate your card with any purchase over £1 (or €1 in Republic of Ireland). Once you have your card you will need to go online at http://www.rewards.theworks.co.uk to register. You will be required to give your full name, address, date of birth and email in order to register your card. These details will not be passed to any third parties. If you have problems registering online you can register by calling the dedicated helpline on 0121 313 6050 (0044 121 313 6050 from Republic of Ireland), email us at enquiries@theworks.co.uk or speak to a member of staff when next in store.

Alternatively you can register your card by;

I. Requesting a paper application form from a member of staff in store stating whether you have an email address or not. The member of staff will ask you to complete the correct application form in order to register your card. The member of staff will send your application form off for you. Paper applications may take up to 4-weeks to be processed.

II. Calling our dedicated helpline on 0800 997 8 997 and a member of the team will be able to process your application over the phone.

4. If you register your card via the post or over the phone you will receive a username which will be your unique card number. You will also receive a temporary password which will be the last six digits of your unique card number.

5. Application forms must be completed in Block Capitals and must be completed clearly and in full. Illegible or incomplete application forms will not be processed. The Works are under no obligation to notify you if your application was not processed due to incorrect / incomplete or illegible information.

6. The Works Together Rewards ("TWTR”) card in whatever form, is not transferable, cannot be copied and can only be used by the member who is named and registered and those who reside at the same residential address that the card is registered to.

7. As a member you are only entitled to one TWTR account each. The Works reserves the right to refuse, merge or close additional accounts at any time.

8. Your TWTR card is personal to you. We do not issue additional TWTR cards for your account, but your family and friends can apply for their own TWTR card.

9. The Programme is only for personal and consumer use. Reward Cards cannot be used with any business or commercial transaction or purpose.

10. TWTR cards can only be used with purchases from The Works stores located within the United Kingdom.

11. TWTR accounts, cards, vouchers and points cannot be transferred, bought, sold or in any way traded.

12. To receive full membership benefits of the Programme you must register your personal details and keep The Works informed of any changes. The Works cannot be held responsible for any loss of points or vouchers incurred as a result of out of date details. Any account that has been inactive for twelve months will be removed and any points or vouchers forfeited. If you find you are without access to your online account, you can make changes to your account details via the helpline or in-store.

13. The safe keeping of TWTR card and vouchers remains the responsibility of each Together Rewards member, as do any security details relating to the account, i.e. username and password. The Works cannot be held responsible for any loss arising from the member failing to ensure the security or safe-keeping of these items. It is the responsibility of members to reset any temporary passwords provided by TWTR team via the Your account section at www.rewards.theworks.co.uk.

14. The Works may decline to issue, withdraw or cancel TWTR accounts, cards, key fobs, vouchers and points, in whatever form, and / or remove a member from the Programme at any time where there is reasonable belief of:

  • any abuse or attempted abuse of the Programme,
  • any breach or attempted breach of these terms and conditions and / or those relating to the optional elements of the Programme; or
  • any behaviour relating to The Works Together Rewards or The Works that involves theft, misconduct, abusive or offensive behaviour, or supplying false or misleading information.


15. You can choose to leave the Programme at any time. By leaving the Programme you forfeit the right to any points or vouchers already accrued or issued. You can terminate your account by emailing enquiries@theworks.co.uk informing us that you want to terminate your account.

16. If you don’t collect any points for one year will be removed from the Programme and will need to apply for new membership should they wish to re-join.

17. You may be able to acquire the points or vouchers of a family member who has died by providing a written request, informing us of the membership details of the deceased. Please email enquiries@theworks.co.uk or write to The Works Stores Ltd, Boldmere House, Faraday Avenue, Hams Hall Distribution Park, Coleshill, Birmingham B46 1AL.

18. Your privacy is very important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy as set out on this website.

Together Rewards

19. The current conversion value of points is one point equals one penny. We will not exchange The Works Rewards points for cash. We may from time to time change the number of points you collect on products and services included in the Programme. We will display notices in stores and online advising members of changes.

20. TWTR points can be earned at United Kingdom The Works stores. The current rate of points collected is 5 points for each full £1 (or €1 in Republic of Ireland) of expenditure, after any discounts have been applied. Points will be collected on all purchases of £1 / €1 or above.

21. To be awarded points, you must spend £1 / €1 or above on qualifying products in a single transaction. From time to time TWTR programme may run points promotions or special offer promotions, during these promotional periods the amount of points awarded may change and may vary depending on the products bought, the amount spent and where the transaction takes place.

22. You must present your TWTR card at the checkout in order to collect points for a transaction in store. It may be possible, if you forget to do this at the time of the transaction, to have your points added manually at the store, but this cannot be guaranteed if you haven’t activated your card. This is dependent upon; production of a valid receipt, provided the receipt belongs to you, relates to your personal expenditure and is produced within 90 days of the original transaction date. All queries of this nature should be referred to a member of in-store staff. Points may only be claimed for up to two transactions or receipts per day.

23. Certain products may be excluded from the Programme at the discretion of The Works from time to time. Points are not available on gift cards, except during special promotional events.

24. In any single collection period you can only earn a reward voucher with a maximum value of £50 (€50 in the Republic of Ireland). This is the equivalent of 5000 points.

25. During any multiple points and other events, in store, online or on mail order, members will receive the promotional rate of points only. The normal rate of points at that time will not be awarded in addition to the promotional points.

26. The Works may set a limit on the number of times points may be awarded for promotional items on which additional points are available. Individual promotions may have different limits as communicated in their purchase conditions. Any participation in promotional offers above and beyond what could objectively be considered consumer behaviour or personal use may be treated as abuse of the Programme.

27. The Works may remove points at any time if products are returned for any reason and a full or partial refund of the purchase price is given. This also applies to the exchange of products, unless the exchange is for products with an equivalent points value.

28. If you fail to present your TWTR card when receiving a refund, we may deduct the points from your Together Rewards account the next time you present it in store.

29. When returning goods purchased from The Works, unless you are requesting an exact replacement for your return, any Together Rewards points collected on those items may be deducted from your Together Rewards account.

30. Points have no value until converted into vouchers at the end of a collection period.

31. The Works is under no obligation to award The Works Together Rewards points other than for qualifying transactions.

Reward Vouchers

32. The Works Together Rewards vouchers ("Vouchers”) will be sent by email to you if have registered your card and have accumulated total points above the qualifying threshold at the end of each collection period. The current minimum qualifying threshold to receive a voucher is 50 points.

33. The Works is under no obligation to send a Reward Voucher or statement by post and if you do not provide an email address when you register your TWTR card you will not receive a Reward Voucher notification, statement or any further correspondence from TWTR.

34. You can request your TWTR card balance in any store at the till at any time.

35. The value of Reward Vouchers given by The Works will be based on the number of points that you have collected by the end of the last day of the collection period. Collection periods may vary at The Works’ discretion.

36. Points values at the end of the collection period will be converted into reward vouchers in increments of 1 pence. Points that don’t meet the qualifying threshold will be 'Carried forward' to next collection period once only.

37. If a card has less than 50 points or if the card has not been registered, the points earned in the current quarter are carried forward, but points earned in previous quarters are wiped.

38. Vouchers are valid for 3-months and are accompanied by an expiry date, beyond which they cannot be used or reissued. Additional terms and conditions may be found on the Reward Voucher statement.

39. The Works may restrict the use of the voucher to selected products and exclude products which may be included in other promotional activity.

40. The voucher can be used as part payment towards product(s) of a higher value provided the balance of the payment is covered by another suitable method.

41. If a product you purchase using a voucher is unsatisfactory, please return it to any The Works store. If necessary, we will re-credit your account with the correct number of points. No cash refund will be given in these circumstances.

General

42. Points awarded at the time of a transaction or Vouchers already issued may be removed or cancelled if The Works determines that the points were collected in breach of these terms and conditions or were awarded in error. For the avoidance of doubt, no advice given or action taken by our staff that is contrary to these terms and conditions will have the effect of changing these terms and conditions.

43. The Programme is operated by The Works Stores Ltd, Boldmere House, Faraday Avenue, Hams Hall Distribution Park, Coleshill, Birmingham B46 1AL.

44. These terms and conditions are correct as of 1st October 2017 and shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England. Any disputes will be decided only by the English courts. The Works reserves the right to change these terms and conditions, at any time, for legal, regulatory, business or policy reasons. Members who continue to participate in the Programme following such a change will have accepted the amended terms and conditions.

45. A person who is not a party to these terms and conditions shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any provision in these terms and conditions, but this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.

46. Due to printing lead times, the terms and conditions available in stores may not reflect recent changes.
